Ascend Again is a narrative-driven 2D platformer about a young monk's attempts to escape the lofty tower he is trapped in. 

Along the way, you find other prisoners of the tower. How you choose to interact with them will determine both their fate... and your own.

Developed in 9 days for the Godot Wild Game Jam #90, Ascend Again is a labor of love. Please enjoy the hand-drawn animations and heartfelt story we have put together for you today. 



CONTROLS:

Throw feather - E

Bullet Time - right click (mouse)

Talk/Interact - T

Dash - Shift

Dash into cages

Dash Through Iron Bars

Throw feathers to lower Chandeliers and open hatches

NOTE - The feather in the top left of the fifth level can be reached with 4 feathers.(Or 3 if you use the frame perfect post dash free jump bug)

That's a really nicely drawn main character. Lots of good animations there. 

This is a pretty elaborate platformer for a jam.

Pretty good. It's hard to make too many comments on a jam game that aren't obvious, like add a message telling you to dash through iron, etc.

Does it connect to the theme?
